Open the blinds and turn on the lights to make the home bright and welcoming.
Keep it comfortable with the right temperature.
Make it smell inviting. Fresh flowers, a pleasant scent, or even freshly baked cookies before an open house can create that warm, “I could live here” feeling.
Make the entrance inviting. Your front door and walkway create the first impression.
Put away valuables and personal items.
Take care of the pets during showings when possible.
Give buyers privacy so they can talk openly and imagine themselves living in the home.
